Normally, the default setting of a new browser is JavaScript On or Active Scripting is Enabled.
If your browser is listed below, it supports JavaScript. If you’re not using one of these browsers, we suggest updating your browser as most websites on the Internet now incorporate JavaScript in most of their pages. If you use one of these browsers but still cannot see JavaScript features, JavaScript may be turned off in your browser.
JavaScript is always on.
Select Preferences
from the Edit menu.
Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
Check the box next to Enable Java. Click the OK
button.
Select Preferences
from the Edit menu.
Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
Check the box next to Enable JavaScript for Navigator.
Click the OK button.
Select Preferences
from the Edit menu.
Click Advanced on the left side of the dialog box.
Check the box next to Enable JavaScript. Click the OK
button.
Select Internet Options
from the Tools menu.
Click the Security tab.
Click Custom Level in Security Level for this Zone.
Scroll down to Scripting, near the bottom of the
list.
Under Active Scripting, choose Enable.
Click OK to leave Security Settings.
Click OK to leave Internet Options.
Choose Preferences
under the Edit menu.
Click Web Content under Web Browser.
In Active Content, check the box next to Enable
scripting.
In Java, click Enable Java.
Click OK.
Select Internet
Options from the View menu.
Click the Security tab.
Set the security level for this zone to Custom
(for expert users).
Click the Settings button (to the right of Custom).
Scroll to the bottom of the list and enable Active scripting.
Click the OK button to close the Security
Settings window.
Click OK to close the Internet Options
window.
Click the Preferences
icon in the Toolbar.
Click the Web Content icon under Web
Browser.
In Active Content, check the box next to Enable
scripting.
Click the OK button.
Press F12.
Press J.
From the Macintosh file menu,
select Safari and then Preferences.
Select the Security option (padlock icon).
Under Web Content options, check the Enable
JavaScript checkbox.
Click OK and close the Preferences
dialog.
Please note that some other programs also may attempt to control whether JavaScript works or not. Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall is an example of a firewall program that can allow or prevent JavaScript execution by the browser.
