Grandpa's Creamy Mac & Cheese

This is a simple easy recipe for Creamy Macaroni and Cheese made with Velveeta. It is unbaked, that is, I don't bake this in the oven, it is all made on top of the stove.

I make this for my grandchildren, they really like it this way.

Ingredients

16 to 18 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 to 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
1 pound pasta, cooked

Procedure

  1. Cook one pound of pasta according to directions on the box, until al dente. Drain in a colander. You can use macaroni, or other pasta. I like cavatappi, but real macaroni is better for children because it is smaller and easier for them to manage.
  2. In your pasta pot, melt the cheese and whipping cream together over medium heat, stirring continuously. Once the cheese is completely incorporated into the cream, stir in the pasta. Serve immediately.

Notes:

  1. Any flavor of Velveeta may be used, but I generally use the original flavor.

Enjoy!
